COP Conversations: addressing the twin crises – decarbonising energy and industry across the world

Join us on Thursday 17 November from 9.30am to 10.30am for a virtual event as part of our COP27 series discussing how the summit can deliver a global low-carbon energy system that reduces costs for energy-intensive industrial users in the face of an ongoing fossil fuel price crisis.

The high cost of gas means that there is no better time to invest in the renewable energy required for the planet to reach net zero by 2050. This requires international transformation, and supportive policy measures to help industry decarbonise as they face a uniquely challenging economic context both domestically and internationally.

COP27 acts as an important mechanism from which to deliver a global net zero energy system that lowers costs for energy-intensive industrial users, and helps them decarbonise in the face of an ongoing fossil fuel price crisis – while also creating jobs and boosting economic prosperity.

This virtual event will feature key energy players and industrial business stakeholders who will outline what they need from COP27 to deliver a low-carbon and cost-effective future, while also creating jobs.
