Marie-Laure is Head of Policy at Aldersgate Group and is responsible for developing and overseeing its policy work programme, working closely with the wider team. The policy work programme spans across energy and environment policy topics, including power systems, industrial decarbonisation, green finance, skills, resource efficiency and nature-related disclosures to name a few.
Prior to joining Aldersgate Group, Marie-Laure has led a portfolio of complex and impactful policy projects at RAND Europe, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. Examples include a study on research and innovation opportunities to strengthen future European clean energy security, recommendations based on business perspectives to increase late-stage R&D in the UK, and the application of systems approaches to develop thought leadership on UK strategic advantage through science and technology, and risk assessment and resilience to emergencies. Marie-Laure also supported the delivery of a government public dialogue on advanced nuclear technologies as a member of the expert oversight group.
Marie-Laure is an engineer by training, with a PhD in diamond transistors for the smart grid.
